“No Granny, you can’t push tooth paste back into the tube once its out!” exclaimed my brother and me.

It was a lazy sunday afternoon at home. My bro and me were having some fun teasing Granny. She loves to play with her grand children. She has 3 surviving children of her own, my Dad’s the youngest and the only surviving son. My uncles all died young from disease and stuff. She never talks about it. My bro and me are her youngest grand children. She simply adores us. :)

We learnt from the Bookworm digest that you can’t push tooth paste back into the tube after its been squeezed out. Beaming with pride from our new found knowledge, we declared this to Granny. She disagrees.

I was a little more than 7 or 8 yrs old. My bro’s 4 yrs younger. Imagine our shock when Granny told us we were wrong. Heh heh… I was never wrong! With my child-like pride at risk (and my bro’s admiration in jeopardy), i challenged Granny to prove it.

She promptly took the Darkie toothpaste from the wash basin and squeezed out a short length of white paste. We watched in amazement as she gently squeezed the top rim of the tube and the toothpaste retreated back into the opening. We were humbly proven wrong by Granny.

We all had a good laugh afterwards… :)
