There are dangers in succeeding too.

The danger of getting sidetracked from the opportunities, getting arrogant, not having the backend capacity to manage all the operational matters AND burnout are all quite real.

Guess the bigger we get, the more we have to focus.

Thanks, Eugene.

It is true that the entrepreneur brings his personality and leadership style into the startup - shaping the corporate culture of excellence and drive for success.

I have learnt much from you with regards to that aspect. Will read that articles.

Watch this space for the last installment of this article where i discuss about failing responsibly - planning for worst case scenario.

Being a Serial Entrepreneur is a serious job, the highs are high but the lows are indeed low.

it takes a lot out of a person when they fail, but i disagree with you with regards to keeping emotional detachment, the entrepreneur infuses the business with his/her unique energy and its impossible to be emotionally detached to your business if you want it to suceed.

the only thing that we can do to minimise losses emotional or physical is to plan for the worst case scenerio.

its also impt to have surround yourself with the right people/employees, and to ensure that their needs are taken care of.

That way when you suceed, they suceed with you, this gives them incentive to stick with you when the going is tough, because when the good times come along they will benefit alongside you.

a good article to read
